I've looked pretty much everywhere, but couldnt find a drawing or a 3-D image of what might be the A380-900, Im curious to see what the stretched version might look like.

Apart from the Length, wieght and ability to carry more passengers ect. Will there be better range capibalitys, less range capibilitys or any other advantages or disadvantages that the A380-900 will have over the A380-800?

Quoting Yazoo (Reply 8): Is it just me or do I have the feeling that the 380-800 is somewhat the 747SP version of -900 model?

Wow, it would truely be amazing to see something of that size get off the ground. I'm reminded of the current A380 photo showing the engine runup, how big the A380 is already compared to the A340 behind it. Wow.

I think it looks nicer because the Tail and wings match the size of the fuselage where as the A388 has the same wings and tail but a short stubby body.

Holy Faker!
I do think that A389 rendering is rather over-stretched, it looks like it has way too many doors and may be over 300 feet long, enough for 1500 pax in 3 classes!
Quoting IslipWN (Reply 18): I didn't know they had plans of making a stretch version of the A380.
A380's wing was designed for the potential stretch version way back when, otherwise the wing would not need to be so massive. Technically, it would be like Boeing building the 747SP first.
The meaning of life is curiosity; we were put on this planet to explore opportunities.
true, the stretch version does look more proportional, however.....
1) still a monstrosity
2) still looks hideous
They both mean the same thing.... anyway...
How about something positive, a la "I don't like the look of it, but well done to the hundreds of Airbus engineers who sat up nights so I could slobber over it and grunt "bleah... 'orrible... monstrosity!" :|

It looks far better! It definitely doesn't have that sort of "735 look" from the -800 anymore. It looks much more proportional
Quoting Amy (Reply 19): I would agree the -900 does look more appealing, but then I think in general longer aircraft do.
I think stretched planes look better when the original version doesn't look proportional (as the 380-800), but when the original version looks already proportional, the stretched version doesn't necessarily look better. The 321, for instance, looks worse than the 320 to me.
