I think FAT/BIL were two of the first destinations talked about once we took delivery of hte XRJ....
SBA....would be a good route to possibly hit the malibu area
BUR....I would love for us to go to BUR....a very nice little airport
SMF....not sure about this....our load factors are very high right now.....but obviously it would only be in addition to our mainline jets.

I thought the departure length at CLD was 4900 feet, landing at CLD is 4600 feet. Nevertheless, glad to here CLD might actually get a jet flight.
I guess COEX heard that San Diego North County wanted a new airport more than any part of the county. They are tired of traveling down to San Diego, up to SNA or even further to LAX to catch a flight. All three airports are getting a little too crowded for a population of about 1 million looking for a transportation portal.

This route was reduced after about a year to 2 times daily where it has been ever since. I noticed though that it returning to 3 times daily this summer. In addition, OMA-IAH will see a sixth N/S added this summer.
In regards to DSM, they tried service to EWR and it didn't even last 6 months. If EWR won't work, I highly doubt that CLE would be added. I think that OMA-CLE is a little more likely, probably in the 2 year time frame.

I believe that there will be a IAH-FAT, IAH-BIL, and IAH-SBA. Those three seem likely to me. Fresno is an underserved market IMO, BIL needs a connection to the south, and SBA is booming as far as air service goes recently too. All three of those seem viable to me.

A gentleman's agreement, perhaps?
Weird agreement I must say - CO won't fly from its EWR hub to HOU and Southwest won't fly from it's DAL hub to IAH, it makes no sense.
Does Southwest fly ISP > HOU and/or ISP > AUS nonstop?

Funny thing, I was just thinking about this today. The EWR service was very popular, especially with international connections (a nice alternative to ORD via UA). The problem was that the flight was in the mid-afternoon; prime time for ground delays. All the pax had to be re-accommodated, which was usually a chore, and the flights ended up going out almost empty. As for CLE, I just don't think there's the demand when you can connect to the cities CO hits from CLE on UA and NW from DSM.
As for new service, I know CHA is the next one to be announced, followed by the FAT and BUR.

I guess the TSA bitched that they didn't want to have to staff the checkpoint that late. Bunch of idiots. Of course, I bet our stupid airport management here probably had something to do with it as well. They have as much sense and spine as a jellyfish!
