Hi everyone, for those of you who have not had a look on Air NZ's website lately, there is a pop-up with the new Long-Haul products and services.
Unfortunitly I can't get the link of the pop-up to work..... so just go here http://www.airnz.co.nz and click on the "redifining air travel" link to the right of the page.
I really like the new seats, look very comfortable.

The colours look exceedingly dull. Are they going to have the blues, greens, teals and reds of the current fleet or the warm coffee colour of the A320s?
I hope these arent the final colours because they look hard and cold

Quoting NZ747 (Reply 5): NZ1: Will the 777's have tail cameras? If so, will this be a channel that the passengers can select?
Yes they will, but we haven't decided if they will be incorporated into the IFE package yet. They may be used for the flight deck crew only. Will keep you posted.
Cool, it would be great if pax could get access. It would even be great for advertising: '..window views from every seat..'
Are you able to release any information as to which 744's will get which names?
Also, I flew passed the single hangar at Auckland last Monday, and there was a 747 behind closed doors (part way open at the time) inside, which seemed to have one, or some of it's engines removed. What was this?

Looks great but a shame to see the loss of a First class cabin from another leading airline. So long as the service standards are maintained and the friendly crews deliver the best then its a great move by NZ.

I hope they use the coffee colour from the A320 on the carpets. I prefer the coffee colour to that navy/grey colour in the pop-up. Looks nice though.
The economy and premium economy seats look hard, I hope they aren't.
Aren't the premium economy seats the same as BA world traveller plus, and the economy the same as lufthansa???? They look very familiar, but I can't quite guess where

This is ZK-SUI, undergoing it's D check and interior upgrade. Engines are removed for access to repairs on 2 of the pylons. Let me tell you, this aircraft has a huge amount of work on it, and is going to be a great achievement when it rolls out in early June.

Sorry I would love to, but I am not allowed to yet.
Quoting AF022 (Reply 10): from what i've seen in pictures i'm not impressed. the BROWN-ness of it all looks kind of cheap, actually.
I guess the travelling public will be the judges on that one dude.

Looking good NZ, Looking good!
God I think I'm going to start connecting in Auckland again to get to the states.... I guess it is pretty much a given that this new Business class kicks the shit out of the skybed... I am wondering how this is going to affect QF 25/26 (i think.. BNE-AKL-LAX) Now if we could only get them to restart SYD-LAX nonstop... i guess it is a bit hard without the feed but now with DJ starting a frequent flyer program, that may all be about to change?
