Anyone know when you'll be able to make Star Alliance reservations, award and standard, on the website? Also I have read that a redesign of the website is coming, any update?

I think you already can. Look up US Airways Flight 7036. It's routing is ORD-HKG. Last time I checked US Airways didn't own any 744. (PHL-HKG Via ORD) All done on US Airways' website just requested a PHL-HKG routing and all of them showed up with stops in ORD...

Thanks,

Matt

Generally, you have to pick up the phone and call the member airline to book an alliance flight that isn't codeshared.

For example, you can't book very many Skyteam trips on DL's website other than with AF, because DL will only sell you flights with a DL flight number on their website.

I think what Goodmanr meant was not codesharing, but when - to stay with the example of US7036 - that flight from ORD to HKG would be bookable under it's UA flight number through US's website - just as you can book flights of other Star Alliance airlines (on their flight numbers) using LH's website.

Frank

So basically he's looking to buy a United flight, get United miles, at US Airways Price?

Thanks,

Matt
