I'm scheduled to fly to TPA from YYZ on Westjet's 737-800 on June 16th. I've been wondering if it will have winglets.. also, never been on a 737NG, and I think this will be my first flight on such a NEW aircraft.. should be great!

The first -800 will be flying on random rotations for the next week(s). It'll fly down to MCO for LiveTV install and certification (which I heard it 45 days). Once the system is certified, the installs should be timed to coincide with the three -800 deliveries we have in June for LiveTV installs in YXX.
The schedule has not been finalized yet, but preliminary schedules show the -800's flying YVR/YYC-LAX, YVR-YUL/YYZ (1x daily), and YYZ-TPA. I haven't heard of anymore routes.

Thanks CanadaEH! So we can look fwd to the WJ 738 in YYZ this summer. I'm surprised YYZ-YYC is not on the list though, and that YYZ-TPA is on the list, particularly in the summer. Could be a scheduling convenience for the TPA route.
Poor Andy....no 738's at YHM yet.
Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Keep mind mind that the dates that were passed along to me were for September. I spoke with someone in our marketing department and the schedule isn't completely set in stone for the summer. We usually have a Summer Schedule Enhancement press release in April, but I don't know how soon we can expect that given the yes, no, maybe uncetainly over the retirement of the -200's (FYI, all -200's will be gone by Q12005).
Another route which I found to be interesting was that YYZ-YLW will be flown with a 737-600. I don't know if this is the first route, but it was the only one that was passed along to me.

What's another word for thesaurus?
25 YUL332LX: The first one, yes. The others were taken by a WS pilot. No idea if he's an a.net photograph or not. I hope so.[Edited 2005-04-14 22:39:36]
26 Dripstick: Yes, Lonnie has pics on A.net... http://www.airliners.net/search/phot...=Lonnie%20Ganz&distinct_entry=true Andy
27 Clickhappy: Thanks Andy Is Canada a state yet? I get mad when i drive up to YVR, at the border they always act like it's a different country or something?
28 Yyz717: Those temporary quasi-Delta 738 leases don't count.
29 AC_B777: Very nice plane, but it is very weird not seeing those eyebrow windows. I kinda miss them!
