VT-EPT is on lease to Airbus for tests on new tyres. Since these tests are performed in Toulouse, France, by Airbus, the plane is re-registered with a temporary French test registration. Just normal procedure.

I don't understand why Airbus brought in this particular aircraft for testing? I might be mistaken, but I thought IC were struggling to increase capacity due to non-availability of aircraft, so why lease one to Airbus?
Reach for the stars - they are closer than you think!

Perhaps it has something to do with IC's unique double bogey landing gear. In order to certify a new tire type for IC to use they would need this type of aircraft. AFAIK the IC 320's are the only ones in existence.
