I'm very happy about this - it's Delta, from Atlanta to Chicago (ORD) on the 7th, I don't know when it leaves - can't remember right now, but it arrives in ORD at 1819. YIP YIP YIP!

Be sure to get upgraded to First. The coach seats are getting a little worse for wear. Hopefully you will get a -500, but most likely it'll be a -1.

Flew on a Delta L-1011 from MCO to ATL in May 1999, and I loved it! This was my first flight on a wide body jet, I was never uncomfortable knowing well it's excellent safety record. You will love the ride!

Yes, I saw it two days ago when I was in Chicago O'Hare waiting for my flight to Brussels. It was an L-1011-500. Delta is the only major airline that still flies L-1011's.
Have a nice flight.

I fly the 1011 frequently between Atlanta-Orlando. It's a great plane and is sad that they won't be around for much longer. Delta's are getting a bit worn, but why invest $ in them if they won't be around for much longer?

They are awesome planes. Listen for the loud engines rev up and notive how loud they get just while taxiing.

Emjoy your flight!

It might be a -500, because they don't have many -1's left. I was on 2 last summer, and loved both flights. I hope to get on at least one more this summer. Aug 2001 is when they will be gone.
