I am a little confused by one of Continental's website pages - http://www.continental.com/onepass/earn/airline/emirates.asp . If I fly from the UK to Bangkok via Dubai, do I get miles on any Emirates flights, or only if I book on codeshared EK flights (eg CO9890) from LGW?

Thanks

Geoff M.

Accoding to what it says, you receive CO miles including Elite Qualification Miles on any Emirates flight worldwide.

According to the link you provided, you can earn CO miles on all Emirates-operated flights worldwide. However, only Continental Airlines codeshare flights operated by Emirates connecting in London Gatwick (LGW) to/from Dubai will earn miles that count towards your elite status.

Between the two of you, you have managed to illustrate the ambiguity perfectly (or at least portray my confusion). On the one hand it says you earn elte miles on any Emirates flight; on the other hand it also says you only earn elite miles on codeshared LGW flights.

Let me put it another way: if I had 15,000 miles and needed 10,000 miles to get to Silver status, would travelling 10,000 miles (assuming 100% reward) on Emirates from Birmingham (BHX) get me those miles?

Maybe the LGW restriction is only for those connecting in the UK?

Thanks

Geoff M.

You can earn miles on any EK flight worldwide' however, ONLY the CO codeshare flights operated by EK LGW-DXB will counts towards Elite status, as per the OnePass Service Center in Houston.
