it is possible that WorldAirways operated the flight?
I know that in the past World operated regular freighter flights from IAH to LAD on behalf of some forwarders, I am not sure if they still operate the IAD-LAD flights...

Actualy World Airways has been operating passenger flights for several years on behalf of Sonair dubbed the "Houston Express" to cater for oil industry traffic between Texas and Africa.
Currently the schedule is for twice weekly flights IAH-Luanda and once weekly IAH-Malabo using a very spaciously configured MD-11.
