Hello all

I was wondering if anyone had any news on the current state of the Airbus 300 fleet of AA? I have to endure an overnight flight to Lima from Miami with them. I am 6ft 3inch tall and I get the impression I will be very cramped on the flight. Howe is the cabin/ seat comfort and what is the seat pitch on those old planes?

The only consolation is that I am in C Class with UA from LHR-MIA.  cheerful

Thanks

Paul

I think row 27 is the aft exit row - tons of leg-room there - try to get one of those seats. Stay away from the very back of the cabin specifically the last three rows or so - those are the worst seats on the A300, as the fuselage curves. The AA A300s have interiors that look like hell. They have been very very well used. American's A-300s are one of those birds that are pretty on the outside but ugly on the inside.

If you don't get the exit rows, you are screwed, either pay for a Business class upgrade or suffer the A300's pitch config.

So I take it they have reconfigured all their A300's? The A300 though a bit banged up on the inside was pretty comfortable when they had the MRTC config. So I guess it is back to sardine can style...

The A300's I believe were the first to lose the MRTC even before they decided to remove it fleet wise.

I use the A300-600 quite often, and must admit than is very crampy. Try row 5 [just after biz class].

No they fly, LHR-IAD IAD-MIA. However to save the time I just put LHR-MIA. I presume that the internal leg is in First Class because you guys dont have Business on Internals, in Europe we just call it Business Class.

If neither row 27 (exit row) nor row 4 (bulkhead) are available try to get row 6 (right after 2L & 2R doors), it has a lot of legroom since row 5 is very distant
