The A330/A340 is sort of mixed. The A332 has excellent aftermarket potential. It will be tommorows' MD-11 with excellent payload uplift and freighter conversion written all over it. IMO, the A333 has little potential as a freighter, lots of volume but probably very low uplift density.
Quoting 777STL (Reply 1): I'd say 737NGs are pretty hot if you can find them.
I definitly agree, there are very few 737NG that sit on the market long. There was a post not too long ago about how WN may take previous generation 733 if they needed to add capacity in a crunch.

How about 734 and 735 and maybe MD80s? There must be a fair amount of them, and they are still pretty economical, especially the 734 and MD80 which can accommodate 150 pax in a two-class config, and still only need 3 FAs...

By hot, if you mean which aircraft currently enjoy the lowest rate of depreciation from new, it would be the A34 series.
For others, so much depends on hours, cycles and condition, and whether you are looking to lease or purchase.
If you mean the most demand, 737/A32, but that doesn't necessarily result in premium prices, just that there is a lot of movement.
The market for used RJ's is going to be tough for the forseeable future. Margins on funding to purchase / lease, will encourage prospective customers to look hard at used and even new 737/A32
