In two weeks, I will be flying SFO-HKG for my Spring Break (April 16).
I'm planning on flying SFO-HKG nonstop on United, but in the case that the flight is full (or I cannot get into a premium cabin as an SA), I will fly to NRT on United, and connect onto CX for the NRT-HKG leg (and return).
If I do end up flying aboard CX, I would be aboard either CX451 or CX505. A few questions come up with those two flights:
1) CX451 has one stop--where? TPE? KHH?
2) Both CX451 and CX505 show a/c type as "JET"--what are the most commonly used planes for these flights?
3) What should I expect service wise and amenity wise in Economy? PTV's, foot/head rests?
Thanks much! I look forward to seeing your responses (or even CX stories!)

On travelocity, both of these flights are listed as 747s. CX451 stops in TPE for 1:10.

I flew CX505 about a year ago in economy, and it was a 777-300 with PTVs good service and other CX standards. Those flights could be either 747-400s or 777s according to my CX timetable. Hope this helps.
