I was just looking at the age of the KLM 747 fleet, the oldest is 16 years old and the youngest is about 3. To me it seems they will keep them for a while.
Since all their 777 and 330's have ptv's and new seats, will they upgrade the 747's as well? There are routes like JFK where you have the 747 and the 777 operating the same day. I would imagine for a guy paying the same fare
as a 777 pax he wouldn't be happy flying the 747.

I don´t think so honestly. KLM is investing in buying new planes, no renewing old planes. I think maybe insted KLM may buy the 747Advanced or things like that. But in my opinion, instaling PTV´s in their 744 would be great and would attract many passangers.
