I was just pondering over how United schedules their Asian market. So if any of you UA maniacs know how they work it, please explain it to me! Just for starters, UA895, a 744 leaves ORD on time for HKG. It arrives in HKG at 4:35pm, what does that specific plane do after that, and after that, etc.... till it arrives in the US mainland again? Thanks in advance!
Sometimes I go about in pity for myself and all the while a great wind carries me across the sky.

With regard to UA895 -- after the 744 arrives at HKG, it'll park for the rest of the evening and overnight until it departs for ORD again as UA896 the next morning.
Quite a bit of slack time for that particular aircraft I'd say!

UA 1 leaves from LAX to HKG and then continues to SIN at around 2350. It returns the next morning the same route, dep SIN at 0650. UA 875 continues from NRT and arrives BKK at 2145 and dep BKK the next morning at 0730. Other flights continue from NRT to PVG (SHA), SEL, HKG and PEK where they overnite. UA also has a flight SFO-HKG that also stays for a long time in HKG, same for a SFO-TPE flight. SFO-PVG and SFO-SEL return the same evening they arrive in Asia. I hope this helps. The777Man
