I just checked Allegiant's online schedule, and I noticed that not a single service is operated on Tuesdays! Can anyone shed any light on why this is?

Cheers
Mats

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.

Low demand for Vegas on that day. And gives them a whole day to perform routine maintenance every week.

Doona,

Allegiant has no scheduled flights on Tuesdays or Saturdays. However the 2 aircraft operating for Harrahs, as well as the Apple Md83 out of Denver all still operate.

ATCRick-any word on more forthcoming announcements from the SFB expansion? I thought I had read in the orignial post that CID was supposed to be one of the cities first announced but it was never announced. Would love to see some nonstops to Orlando from CID..

CIDFlyer,

Alot of cities are being researched but I'm almost positive that CID-SFB will definitely become a reality. We're also talking about COS, OKC, SAV, just to mention a few.

Rick, I think he's right. The schedules show Saturday flights on all 4 routes out of SFB.

Is CRW one of them by chance?

Just a comment about the SFB routes, Allegiant will fly from DSM to SFB on Saturday. They just added a Mon. flight, but I don't remember if the flights will be from Thurs.-Mon. or from Fri-Mon.

When I worked at TransMeridian Airlines, Tuesdays were ad-hoc days and days for more intense maintenance and aircraft interior deep cleaning.

That's the way it was for SY, we used Tuesday to get caught up on all levels.
MX, grooming, catering, etc. All departments used Tuesday as the day to take a deep breath, and solve problems that came up the other days.

Some of the majors use sat. afternoon, & sunday morning.

Sunking737,

Nice to see you. How goes it over at SY? We are busy gearing up for BLV, as well as the SFB start up. Busy Busy.

Thanks for the response ATCRick. The prospects sound good, I am crossing my fingers that it will happen soon!
