Just curious, don't recall any announcements. Looks like it's thrice weekly on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

There is one evening non-stop Thursday, Friday, and Sat. That is as of January. I have gone thru MSY, TPA, or MCO on this route.

The company's schedule shows FLL-HOU on Fri., Sat. & Sun. and HOU-FLL on Thu., Fri. & Sat.

Since we reduce our schedule on the weekends (more so on Saturday than on Sunday), we use the freed-up aircraft time to offer weekend-only service in select markets, such as HOU-FLL. Typically, this is usually a Saturday/Sunday thing. However, in this particular case, the service is also on Friday -- a result of some minor adjustments to our maintenance requirements, which provided the extra aircraft hours.

Because weekend service comes and goes from schedule to schedule (and is not available for sale seven days a week), we normally do not advertise the flights.

Seems like this would be such a no-brainer for traffic from South Florida traveling to the Great Plains and Western U.S., that I wonder why it hasn't been flown by now on a daily basis.

Just goes to show the folks that are always asking when WN will fly internationally -- there really are lucrative routes yet to be flown connecting current markets.

With a schedule like this, I would think they are probably full hauling cruise passengers.

If not now, then when?
