Airtours are to offer NCL-Djerba flights for the first time in 2006. I would think that MyTravel Airways or Nouvelair will fly the route on saturdays. Anyone know more?

It could be the Djerba-based Karthago Airlines. UK charter airlines had quit Djerba since the 80s after Britannia has withdrawn the island from its route map. MyTravel and Nouvelair could also fly Airtours customers !!! Good news anyway  Wink

From the Airtours on-line brochure....

NCL- DJE shows with airline code BJ (Nouvelair I think...)

Flight timings are shown as:
Depart Sunday 1725
Return Monday 0140

Those flight timings are the same as the MYT operated NCL-MIR flights... and as the DJE flights are being flown by a Tunisian airline you'd expect the return time to be earlier than the departure (unless they were on some sort of W pattern which is very unlikely)

Likewise, the LGW and MAN flights to DJE are also copies of the MIR flights

I would think that at this stage, Airtours haven't confirmed either airline or flight times for the Djerba flights...

This is further confirmed if you try checking availability on holidays to the Djerba area on the Airtours website where the departure date is shown as Saturday and both carrier and timings are shown as 'TBA'.

I don't like signatures...

If the website shows BJ so the airline in question is Nouvelair. The aircraft type will be either an A320 or an A321.

The LGW and MAN flights to DJE copy those bound to MIR for a better crew dispatching maybe !!!

Tis good news, and the summer 2005 hasn't even started yet!!! Can't wait to see any other new destinations for NCL next year.

Air Malta is operating MLA-NCL-MLA scheduled flights as from this summer using A319/A320 or B733.  airplane  biggrin

Nice to see Djerba a feature of UK tour operators brochures again. I remember when charter airlines in UK flew to Djerba, I know AIH used an MD83 and I remember DanAir charters from LGW-Sfax as well.
