I was watching the news and I heard that in the diary of one of the suspects, they would hijack a jet going from Denver to New York City. They would then take the plane and crash it in the most populous part of New York City. This would occur after the suspects succeeded in killing all those students at Columbine High School.
These boys fantasized too much. Security at a school is much more different than at the airport, unless they were planning to have a shootout at the actual terminal at Denver International Airport and kill all the innocent people on foot(as a detective said to a reporter), which has not happened, thank God, since security checkpoints do not cover the main terminal area at some airports, just the gates. They should be extended to the main terminal area, just for precautions. Anyone want to comment?

That sounds like a carfeully planned terror action. Thanks God it did not happen.
Yeah, security at airports is much more prepared to deal with that sorta stuff, than their coleagues at schools. However, if they went into Denver Int. and started shoting, that would probably have resulted in even more downed people, than in school as the airport building must be crowded big deal.
I've never been to USA, but at my place - Russia - Moscow's airports are secured by "wardrobe size" guys with AKM Kalashnikov automatic guns.
In one incident, I was travelling back home via Moscow's Domodedodvo airport and there was a group of about 30 students with me. So, after a while 5 or 7 walked out of the terminal building for a cigarette. As they lightened their fags, they got immediately surrounded by the police guys, each armed with an AKM and were "asked" to put out their cigarettes as "smoking was prohibited". Plus, they fined students to about 15,000 roubles = $5.
Here, in UK, I rare see security guys walking about terminals, but I feel their presence through the CCTV cameras that are planted everywhere. Not sure how effective that would be to if gunmen suddenly rushed in and opened fire...

The world has somehow become a sick place in many ways.
I quiet happy about living in a small country like Denmark, where those kind of incidents are non-exsisting. We don't have the possibility to buy a gun in the lokal store, it's illegal to have a gun in your house if you don't have a permission (but I guess it's the same everywhere), still it's very difficult to buy a gun. Automatic weapons is impossible unless you steal them.
I'm a bit conserned about my children, what are they going to see when they grow up (the oldest is a one-year and the other is still to come in september this year - there I've told you all now!), I do not hope that it will come to this in Denmark.
I recon that CPH is a pretty secure airport, all thoug it is a bit annoying that spotters have so lousy opportunity to see on-ground movements.
The only time I've heard about a "near-incident" was two or three years ago, when some hi-jackers threatened to land the aircraft in CPH. It never happened though, and I can't remember the out-come of the incident (anyone feel free to update me on this)
But still, some guys shooting wildly at a college????
I can only say it again.
The world has become a sick place.
With the wish that it might never happen to anyone, to be gunned down in your daily routine, or hi-jacked for that sake!
