CO 757 IFE Upgrade Coming Soon...

757-200s recently converted tto the BusinessFirst (75B) configuration (A/C 104-107, 109, 110, 112, 113) will not have the Airshow 210 system unit installed. That system is outdated, and cost savings will be realized by not purchasing it to only replace it with the next generation IFE installations (beginning this July).

Rumor has it that CO will be installing a new video on demand system with PTV's in every seat. Does anyone else have more information on this??

Is this only for the 752's, or will it be expanded to the 767s and 777s as well. Also, are PTVs in every seat for J only, or for Y as well?

Currently, on CO, there are only PTVs are only in economy on the 767 and 777 for the international versions.

All 75B's have PTV's in First Only with main cabin having only the drop down monitors distributed throughout the cabin.

All Continental Wide Bodies (767's and 777's) have PTV's in First and Main Cabin

Apparently, CO will go AVOD on the 75Bs - the initial intent was to install the system in both classes and on all longhaul aircraft, but financial considerations may restrict installation to 75B BF for the foreseeable future.

Why would only the BF cabin get an upgrade to AVOD if the BF cabin is already inline and basically the same as the 767 BF entertainment.
