I what to know if the airbus A300 and the A310 is still in production, so that airlines can buy new.

The A300-600 is still in production. Currently only cargo planes are on order, for Air Hong Kong and UPS. Very small backlog. Without new orders, expect the line to come to a halt within the next two years or so. No A310 has been built since about 1998.

Didn't UPS cancel their order for A300-600F when they announced the deal for the A380's?

Just re-read the press release. UPS reduced it's order from 96 to 53. 40 have already been delivered and the remaining should be delivered by July 2006. Sorry for the confusion.

UPS cancelled 37 orders in January. As of 03/31/05 11 remained to be delivered to UPS and 2 to Air Hong Kong.

The A310 is technically still available as it is built on the same line as the A300, although it only has a tiny backlog (IIRC Iraqi Airways ordered some before things went pear-shaped over there and they had paid deposits).

It's now well and truly out of date and despite there still being some freighters on order, there is an American saying involving a fork which fits this scenario perfectly  Wink
