Some interesting updates from the new April schedule:

--Upgraded JFK-BOS service this summer:
First and last flights mainline jets, 1 MD80 and 1 738!
NEW Regional Jet ERJ-135 service added.

--New 3x DAILY JFK-Worcester, MA SF3 service starts Jul 06.

--New 3x DAILY JFK-SJC 757 service this summer.

--Seasonal BDL-LAX 738 service returns.

--AA901/1769 DFW-MIA-DFW switches to 777.

--01 MAY MIA-LHR switches to 777.

--Both MIA-EZE flights this summer op by 777.

--Single flight #(AA26/7) from MIA-SEA-NRT, but change of a/c (762->777) @ SEA.

I can only find the following MD11 flights left in the schedule:
DFW-FRA
DFW-GRU
DFW-LGW 2X
DFW-SCL

The LHR to MIA is still a MD11 but not MIA to LHR which will be a 777! Weird stuff huh!

Sometimes I go about in pity for myself and all the while a great wind carries me across the sky.

The MD11 doesn't start LHR to MIA service till June.

Interesting.
I always keep myself up to date about American's whole schedule system.
American is replacing MD-11's with 777's on some flights domestic or international, as you can notice. I think you're right about the remaining MD-11's left, they are only flown out of DFW to international destinations (my parents flew on one recently from DFW to GRU), those will be around for three more years at the most.
What I'm interested the most is what routings the 727's are still scheduled to fly on. I plan my trips in relation to that, what I mean is I choose my flights regarding the AIRCRAFT TYPE that it is. That's what I care the most.
Thanks anyway for the info.

I also found this from the American release today. Good-bye Reno hub:

"As part of the West Coast restructuring, American also announced that it will
discontinue on July 2 eight routes, principally at Reno and Las Vegas, where
passenger loads have been disappointing.

"The Reno reductions involve service to and from Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland,
San Diego and Orange County. American will continue to serve Reno with daily
service to its major hubs at Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth, as well as to Los
Angeles and San Jose.

"At Las Vegas, American will cancel service to Colorado Springs, Oklahoma City
and Orange County, but will continue with frequent service to the Chicago and
Dallas/Fort Worth hubs and to Los Angeles and San Jose.

"After the changes, American will have 11 flights a day at Reno, compared to 28
flights a day today, and 24 flights a day at Las Vegas, down from 33 flights
today."

Reno has never been a hub (or minihub) for American.

Yes, Reno has never been a hub for American, but it has for independent Reno Air, now integrated into AA.
