First 777-300ER Delivered One Year Ago Today

Exactly one year ago, the first 777-300ER was delivered to Air France. I have the privilege living near BFI, so I was very lucky to photograph the 777-300ER throughout the test and certification phase.

There is nothing like the sound of the GE90-115B as it spools up. Standing less than 100 yards away from the 777-300ER as it did a high thrust takeoff is still to this day one of my highlights at BFI.

And today, we are lucky enough to have the 777-200LR based out of BFI for test and certification.

Long live the might 777!

The 777 is a lovely airplane to watch.
The sound is great the first few seconds, when they spool the engines up to 100%, after that, it is a little boring  Smile

Jeez, I recall being so excited when AF started 773ER service on CDG-JFK in mid-May......I can't believe a year has passed since then!
