That's kind of crappy. Why wouldn't they offer that service to a first class ticket holder?

Because it is not available on the other domestic aircraft.

ALWAYS a point to upgrading . . . if you're doing it solely for the PTV, then don't do it on UA. But, UA777s are awesome aircraft. Service to Hawaii is better than most of UAs domestic F services . . . .

And the "allure" of going to Hawaii . . .

Go for it . . .  bigthumbsup

Well, nicer seat, better food and more personalized service. Were you planning on paying for them or using CR1's or 500 milers?

No, they do not. That is only on the domestic versioned planes though. Often times, the 777/767 you are flying on will continue on to London or something after a flight to Chicago or something. That's what happend to my one friend; she was flying a 767 domesticly from SFO to DEN and after denver I think it was continueing on to Chicago, and than eventually London. So basicly she got the international version- which I think happens alot now-a-days with UA. So she got the PTVs and everything. She even found a LHR ticket stub in the seatback pocket.

Well, UA has many international 777 flying domestically with continuing service, but not to Hawaii. I have two ORD-SFO segments booked, one on an international 777 and the other a 747. I am wiatlisted for upgrades on both.

Well, if you look in the database, the seats are similar to all the other domestic first class seats.

Depends on your height. It's better than coach, but don't expect a parking space in front of you! Service is SOMEWHAT personalized. Keep in mind that there are 36 seats up there (FAs do pull out the carts for meal services, unlike INTL F and C class on UA).

Actually, that looks like a INTL 767 seat. I couldn't find any pictures, of the cabin, but here's the info on the seats. Just picture 6 rows, two abrest, on both sides and in the middle of the a/c

THAT PICTURE IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a picture of the old UA Intl. First that First Suite replaced on the 777's and 747's, and that is currently found on the 3 class 767's. The seat on the two class is just like a 757, 737, Airbus, but will feel roomier in a 2-2-2 configuration.

As of June 7th United is only selling food in Economy on ALL domestic flights including transcons and Hawaii. The food for sale isn't bad, but if you want a nice experience then upgrade to First for your Hawaii trip. Also note that our "Red Eye" flights throughout our domestic/Hawaii network have minimal service in first class based on customer feedback (due to pax wanting to sleep and not be bothered).

FA4UA

The debate continues... Starwood or Hyatt... which is better

That seat looks like a F seat on Lufthansa. I don't even think that is a UA first class seat. I could be wrong but that picture is not correct.

Why dont they use the T7's over the pond? My flight from LHR-IAD with United Airlines was scheduled to be on a 777 and now its changed to the not so attractive 767-300. I would not mind if I was in economy because there is no middle 5 seats on the 767, but I am in Business Class. The Business seats are narrower on the 767-300. I have enormous shoulders because of swimming and rugby, I need width of seat more than anything.

Is there a noticeable difference in the seat width from the 777 to 767 in C- Class, or am I worrying for nothing?

Feeback would be great

Cheers

Paul

It is a non ER but it was in a 3-class configuration with United. It was N766UA to be specific.

No, that is the international first class seat on a 767 for UA. The 747s and 777s (international versions) used to have them until they upgraded all those a/c to the "UA First Suite". And yes, it is absolutely UA; right off the UA press site.
