Emirates has no plans for fuel surcharges

DUBAI — Emirates airline is not planning to introduce new fuel surcharges in the nearest future following the increasing oil prices, according to a senior official from the company.

Hamad Obaidalla, senior vice-president, commercial operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran, told this correspondent yesterday that despite the fact that the current surcharges imposed by the airline do not cover the fuel cost, only allowing to compensate it to some extent, Emirates is not going to put new surcharges for the time being...
