MLG doors = Main Landing Gear Doors.

I wonder if this was the flight that had just left Hong Kong?

MLG = Main Landing Gear

BTW, the MLG doors would be open if they used the alternative gear extention procedure which allows the gear to fall down and lock if there are no hydraulics.

There is a VERY good chance as like you said 5Y-KQT (New colours) was in Hong Kong yesterday evening.

The aircraft was only delivered on the 24th.

I guess your not kidding. MLG= main landing gear, as opposed to NLG = nose lg.
