In a recent report in TravelNews Asia - Malaysia Airlines was looking at closer ties with Northwest Airlines. MAS and NWA already share FFPs and have planned to code-share on all their respective Malaysia-USA services from this year. NWA has expressed a wish to code-share with MAS on domestic and regional routes using Kuala Lumpur as its new S.E.Asian hub. MAS in turn would like Northwest to become its North American partner.

Looks like Malaysia Airlines is (literally) inching ever closer to committing itself to the much awaited 'Wings Alliance' with KLM and Northwest.
