Why would engines be removed and hydraulics offline if this plane was still to make a flight to VCV sometime between March 2004 and Febuary 2005?

Did they remove possibly newer or recently overhauled engines on this airframe for another aircraft to attach a less valueable pair for the flight to VCV?

I'll take a guess and say they, the engines, were leased out or sold.
