notice the huge box size TV's hanging from the ceiling. This was first introduced on trial basis in 1971 but was quickly removed for safety reasons. The risk of in -flight fire was too great for such a new and radical system. Alo in event of a crash landing, it was feared that the TV's would detach from the roof and crash on somebody's head killing them!
