For those of you who may have forgotten, today marks the 9 year anniversary of J7592 which tragically went down in the everglades.. I ask that you say a quick prayer for the crew and families. A Good friend of mine flew with the crew often, and I am doing this for him.

May God Continue to rest their souls.

Also, Yesterday, May 10, marks what would have been Candalyn Kubeck's 44th Birthday.

I have been to the memorial in the everglades and it is a unique sight. My thoughts are with the families.

The good news to come from this event is the reorganization and transformation into today's AirTran....Just looking for a silver lining to this cloud.

A tragic loss for VJ. I though the crew was DFW based. But maybe they were not.

God bless them.

Wow did not know. I was only 6 years old at the time but I do remember watching the news and seeing ariel shots of the everglades with debris and all.
Critter 592, was a tragic event it was.

Is it true Captain Kubeck lived in Phoenix but was based out of Texas?

May the memory of all passengers and crew aboard the Critter flight remain in the hearts of all.

The captain was commuting out of PHX and her husband is currently an HP pilot. Take a minute to pay homage to VJ flight 592, and all of those who were lost in that accident. The airline industry as a whole has used 592 as a training tool in their HAZMAT training classes, and FL will never let those who paid the ultimate price be forgotten.

Nice Trip Report!!! Great Pics, thanks for posting!!!! B747Forever

R.I.P. to all.

This was a terrible accident due to the fact the air canisters were not handled properly. So terrible.

Very sad, I know serveral people that were involved in the recovery and most of them would never want to remember the horrific things they saw.

TWA 800 will also be coming up this summer  Sad
