This is an actual commercial for Air Koryo.Scroll down to the bottom and right click it. Now I'm not an expert on North Korea, but who exactly are they targeting with this commercial? I don't think that people are really allowed to leave to study in the West or to travel to the exotic cities listed in the timetable at the airport.

thats a good one. couple of things I noticed: 1. the length of the commercial is 3:31, way longer than a 30 second spot that we are used to on western commercial tv. 2. shes not bad lookin!!!  Smile

PS. nice signature

I think the site is a joke...a TU-144 Supersonic for Air Koryo? Hmmmm...and the website address is Air Kory.

By the way, the file at the bottom was a zip file with nothing in it.

Alberchico,

I will remind all other members that you already posted another thread with another great Air Koryo video a few weeks ago:

Is Filming Planes In North Korea Legal? (by Alberchico Mar 28 2005 in Civil Aviation)

In my opinion one of the best videos on Flightlevel350.com!

I like the part where the two women are having sax with each other on the rocks.

That was long and hilarious. Does Air Koryo actually have flights to all the destinations they show on the board?

I get to see a lot of North Korean stuff on Japanese TV. They seem to always be talking about North Korea on Sunday morning talk shows. Sometimes I laugh sometimes I am just worried.

Surprised they showed no pictures of "the great leader" Kim Jong Il or "the great father" Kim Il Song. The girl getting a blessing to travel from the dirty old man himself would have made the cake.

In all seriousness I don't think it is a commercial. I think it is a karaoke video. Anyway why would they need a commercial for something that has no competition and that most people can't even fly on.

Yes...I am not a KIX fan. Let's Japanese Aviation!

I was thinking exactly the same because the letters in the foreground get highlighted just like in a karaoke video.

That's funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw that this clip has a meta tag of "MTV /w Air Koryo"... before I even played the first frame.

There are zillions of silly karaoke vides just like this one. Go to your favorite search engine and enter 'karaoke video' and you'll see what I mean.

Do it now!!!  Big grin

It is definitely a karaoke video. The name of the song is "See you again", it a song about unification. Anyway, as far as I know, for South Korean, it is illegal to visit North Korea's website...Oh my god!! But I'm sure they won't catch me.

I think the word "Virtual" on that website is a dead giveaway.

But at least I got to learn that North Korea actually has an airline!
