Like a lot of things in Aruba, I have to see it to believe it....... their ticket office has been in AUA for a while now..... and the flight attendants also went trough or are going trough training.
I am still waiting for ArubaExel (now ArubaExpress) and Royal Aruban Airlines.....

Quoting 2travel2know (Reply 3): Aruba is a shopping destination for haitians.
Actually we have a lot of Haitian immigrants, coming to AUA to look for work. Before there were excellent connections to PAP via CUR wit the now gone ALM Antillean Airlines.
As I said before.. I have to see it to believe it.
Cheers!

Well I truly hope that this thing starts soon. We need a new carrier, in either AUA or CUR to kill off BonairExpress and CuracaoExpress (formally Exel).
For sake of travelers and tourism we need those companies killed right NOW !!!

Would be very interesting if they flew (BAQ or CTG)-AUA-CCS and back. We need an air link from Venezuela to the Colombian caribbean urgently!! how can it be possible that people have to take long bus rides from Maracaibo to get to Barranquilla and Cartagena because it's too expensive to connect in BOG...??
Viasa we miss you!. Good times will return after Chavez is gone!
ArubaExel or Express will not materialize, Sandmann and KLM abandoned their plans for this Aruba startup (since Exel left 'the game').
About West, I heard they (the Aruban owners) are looking for another partner to startup that company. So without West Caribbean Aruba.
Thanks for the information GoAibusGo! They should definitely start taking down those "Exel" signs at the airports in AUA and CUR. The ticket office in AUA still "proudly" says ArubaExel..........
sidenote: BTW, does anyone know of the status of Winair/St. MaartenExpress and exactly whom of BonairExpress, CuraçaoExpress etc etc. will cooperate with KLM? And do any of these carriers have plans to expand to North- and/or South America?
