Check it out: http://www.aeropuerto-maiquetia.com.ve it contains pretty much the same information as the old website but it has a more modern/differnet look to it. And a map of the domestic terminal has been added...no international tho

I visited the site today. It is great and there are some photos with panoramic views of the airport inside. This made me remember when I visited the airport and used gate 12 where there is a little coffee bar. Lufthansa uses that gate. The airport has been completely refurbished with new facilities and shops and looks very modern. I wasn't allowed to take any photos, though, for security reasons they said.

I saw the site yesterday. I think it's awful.
This colorful retro-style looks childish.

Very positive is the history of the airport that is very interesting to read.
But I miss the airline schedules.

The graphics on the arrival- and departure screens have a very bad quality.

Nice to see some modernization works done in Caracas (even though only online). The Flash presentation on the main page is quite childish and I wonder whether the red star on the tail of one of the planes has some hidden meaning  Smile. The motto of the government, "Venezuela, now it's everyone’s" on the top of the page is also quite interesting, given the changes that have been taking place over the past few years. On the bright side, the amount of information available is quite respectable, albeit it is only in Spanish.

Crap website, it's disgusting.

The bolivarian "revolution" of Chavez has taken CCS's website now....

That actually means: "Venezuela now belongs to all of Chavez's party". There has never been so much discrimination in recent times by a govertment, like this one has promoted. Chavez has promoted hatred and division among Venezuelans...

Some comments about the website:

Interface/looks
  • 1/3 of the space is covered by a useless banner. They could have used a smaller one to get more space for useful information.
  • Cheap and useless Flash introduction.
  • In general, it looks better than the old one, but I still don't like it. They could have come up with something more "professional".
  • The left side menu is a waste of space. Everytime you select an option, the submenu covers more space than needed and therefore limits the space available for the rest of the information.
  • Arrivals/Departures status table doesn't have a good resolution, as Chiguire pointed out.

Information
  • It has much more information than the previous one, but I was hoping that the "Proyecto Maiquetia 2000" section was better.
  • As Lamedianaranja pointed out, where's the information in English?. Big mistake.

Just my two cents...

Thx for pointing it out otherwise I would have missed it. I did see the picture of a Viasa DC8 (at least she is there ghost  ) but the link to the history (in Word) is not very clear.

I missunderstood the topic. That website wasn't about Caracas "new airport".
It should have said "CCS airport new website"
Other than Maiquetía and Carlota, I know there's another airport, a private one, don't have the name or wesbite now.

I don't work for COPA Airlines!

That would be SVCS. Caracas-Charallave Intl. which is private. It's located in the town of Charallave in nearby Miranda State. about 1 hour drive from downtown Caracas.
