Kingfisher Airlines advertisements state that the airline is using terminal 1A, ie the IC terminal for departures out of BOM. How did they manage that? Seems that VM has been able to pull the right strings in the govt.

An airplane might disappoint any pilot but it'll never surprise a good one.

Kingfisher (IT) has outsourced ground handling as well as Mx to IC, so it's not surprising that they're put up at BOM-1A. Not sure how long this handling agreement will last though.

Why do you think it will not last? IC has not had much chance to grow in the last couple of years and this atleast helps shore up revenues. I think this is a good deal for both parties.

Let me make a bold prediction: Kingfisher will take a substantial stake in IA when it comes out with its IPO. Before that, they might do code share.

Rajeev, sorry I didn't put that correctly. What I meant was, I wasn't sure if it was a one-year agreement or more.

you are right. They are planning to ready buying out some of the extra capacity on the Cat II and Cat III routes operated by IC.

But the Aircraft is normally parked on the Terminal 1B side during Layover checks [Night halt]..
Since IC is controlling Ground Handling So Pax are transported from 1C.
