Hey, I just saw on fboweb and also talked to a friend that got shots of it landing. Air Canada flew an A320 into Tulsa today from Ottawa. It was AC7027. Does anyone know why it might have been here? Thanks!

Ha! He said it was in an odd livery and said something like V1 on the front or something, he thought the reg. was C-FWPE. He is supposed to email it to me later. I don't think it would be U2, no one noteworthy ever has concerts in this p-hole!

U2 is not playing Tulsa. Saturday they played Chicago, they were off yesterday and today, and the next 3 shows are in the New York City area starting tomorrow. They must have had some other business in Tulsa.

Quoting DLKAPA (Reply 1): Was there a U2 Concert in Tulsa or will there be one soon? Wink
According to the U2 tour website, they are not playing Tulsa.
They were in Philly on May 14 and will be in East Rutherford, NJ on May 17. http://www.u2tours.com/

I just uploaded that shot of the A320 at TUL today. My eyes nearly popped out when I saw it. I drove around to the FBO where they parked it and took of few shots of it there. I'd say about 20-30 people exited the aircraft. The airport police stopped by and went on board, so I was really curious to know what the heck was going on.

Yes it is the aircraft being used by U2, however U2 is not utilizing it for the next 4 days and was pressed into service when another ACJetz a320 was down for MTC. Just some mucky mucks from Ottawa....

Spartan13, I felt the same way when I saw it land on rwy 32 in Ottawa yesterday. I was having lunch in the food court at YOW by the observation window when this guy suddenly appeared. At first I thought it was some foreign diplomat arriving into town, but was quite puzzled when the aircraft pulled into gate 12 (transborder gate) and had small AC markings by the R1 door.
PWE did come into YOW from YYZ, whether anybody got off in YOW, I haven't got a clue. I'm also clueless as to who chartered Jetz from YOW to TUL????? Needless to say it was a pleasant surprise and YOW can expect to see her again when U2 comes to town later in the year. Hopefully the weather will be better than yesterday for a photo op.
