It seems like a Bahamas registered Beechcraft aircraft flying from the Bahamas this morning coming in to FXE is unable to land due to landing gear problems. Right now the airplane is circling the airport to burn some fuel and then try to make a belly landing. I'll try to post something soon.
Anyone has more information?

Crisis averted...after about 1-2 hours of circling and trying to get the gear in place (including manouvers that looked like what would be the effect of heavy turbulence) three green lights came on 8 miles out and the plane landed safely

I thought the news said they were burning (i.e. using up) fuel, but not sure.
What I noticed though is when the plane landed (yes, on all 3), channel 10 didn't even wait for the aircraft to come to a stop and everybody to get out. [cynicism]"Damn, no shocking news to report, let's switch to a different story..."[/cynicism]
