Delta has the most for a US carrier 1.1 Bil in 1999. Singapore may have beat this one year for the World record.

In fact Singapore did make 1.4 Bil one year. That's the most I'm aware of.

You talking about net profit right?

What about United's record profit in the late 90s?

Incorrect. In real dollar terms, AA had the largest net profit ever of any US carrier at $1.314B net profit in 1998. DL's largest net profit ever, however, as indeed $1.101B in 1999. UA's largest net profit was $1.235B in 1999.

I'm suprised. I could have swore I read the Delta had some record for US airlines for profit. But your AA figures are correct. ????

Could the AMR profit have included Sabre numbers?

AMR's #s in 1998 did reflect the AMR majority ownership of The Sabre Group (TSG), just as Delta's #s reflected the other non-core operating units within the company.

I though SQ's posted profit this past year of US$846 million was their highest ever? Please correct me.
