Does anyone know if this is the first of the ex-US 319's to join the Germanwings fleet ? Since D-AKNO is c/n 1147 ex N727UW has anyone seen c/n 1136 ex N726US which actually left the US fleet around 2 weeks before 727UW did ? Btw N728UW and N729US have also left the US fleet for conversion to Germanwings standards. And also thanks Unique for the info.

It needs some low rider shocks for the landing gear, so it can squat onto the nacelles. Also the joystick needs to be replaced with a piece of chain with the links welded together.

That's supposed to be a bear? Honestly, from the color tone I thought it was supposed to be a fox. Nonetheless, it is definitely eyecatching, though I prefer bears on planes like this :
By the way I really like this one and can't wait to see it here at DRS.
When will they start at SXF?
Georg.
Pelican: Very nice indeed. I hope to see her soon flying abobe my roof. pelican
Unique: c/n 1136 ex N726US is now D-AKNN. Haven't seen it so far...
Vfw614: It is a special livery celebrating their new base at Berlin's low-cost airport Schönefeld. They also have a special livery that pays tribute to thei
OO-VEG: ZUPAH, I hope they are going to use it from CGN a well, sure want to see it there.
PADSpot: The bear wears sunglases and therefore the cockpit windows represent they eyes. The ears are the ears ... But the white-framed nose is a little misle
Bahadir: That's hilarious Aydin But you are right.. It's a very interesting choice of colors. Any idea if this was all decals or a new paint job? I can see Sn
Dazeflight: well, considering the plane will be based in SXF it is highly unlikely you will see it often in DRS, if ever. ciao Daniel
MIAMIx707: lol WOW! ...so is this Yogi bear or Boo boo? Very cool looking plane, great colors for a change.. this is just great! Btw seems like the europeans are
Jorge1812: Any chance that the 4U A-319 which is on static display at SXF during the opening house next weekend will be D-AKNO. Georg.
Smcmac32msn: Look under the engines...... it looks like those new "under jet" neon kits... wonder if they'll get pulled over for it? What about some window tint?
Vfw614: I wouldn't be surprised. It has not been delivered yet, AFAIK, and will probably debut at the open day. But dunno for sure. Well, I prefer "Pimp my b
Jorge1812: That and the the D-ABBN "Dreamliner" at TXL tomorrow would make my day. Georg.
Ushermittwoch: Wow! That's one of the best liveries I have ever seen! I wish Air Berlin would have come up with that for its fleet!
Gilesdavies: It looks aweful! It looks like a group of delinquents have broken into the airport and spray canned the aircraft when the airline wasn't watching!
MIAMIx707: If I was a vandal I'd do that to every eurowhite plane out there Sounds just as goofy if not more.. than 'pimp my ride'
Bully707: That's one sleek looking airplane!!! Soooo much better than the "normal" 4U c/s..... It is just a shame that "my" airport never came up with something
Aloges: Excuse me while I'm laughing my butt off! Sure it's nice to see something different from "Eurowhite", but did they really have to resort to and ruin B
Jorge1812: Only have the one 73G D-ABBN. Also Ryanair has a 738 and China Airlines a 744. The AB I meet at TXL on Saturday but the D-AKNO wasn't at SXF . Georg.
Ikramerica: but does it inspire confidence? I thought it was some sort of fox too until someone said it was a bear. Would make more sense with a brown nose, not a
KLM685: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVED THE THREAD TITLE! Pimp my ride haha, that's a show that needs to go to some airlines. The new germanwings livery is pretty co
Bmi: hi, what a wicked paint scheme! so bad i actually like it!! mark
PipoA380: Exactly what I thought! Come on this one is ugly, it is confusing and not even nice to look at. My eyes itched me when I saw that!
VSMike: Anyone remember the Spirit Airlines (NK) 10th Anniversary scheme? Something from a crack addict's world, man. Rock on!
BoogyJay: Yeah! X-Zibit deploys his talents to aircrafts! It's a great move! People won't be bored looking at this one. Take this A319 and an AF A319 side-by-si
RayChuang: You can say that again. That livery is going to stand out anywhere in Germany that plane flies--even more so than than the LH retro livery unveiled j
PipoA380: Who made that? Air France maintenance (again) forgot to clean thair plane?
