I remember seeing China Eastern at LHR summer last year, and since then nothing. Was it just a summer schedule thing? Also, why don't other Chinese Airlines operate at LHR? Air China only send an A343 daily, which should be made at least twice daily. There are not many routes from London to China, and I'd like to know why. Its not like theres no demand...

China Eastern still operate to LHR, inbound MU551 from PVG arrives about 17:00 on some days, 19:00 on others, and leaves LHR for PVG at 21:15. Days of operation are Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat (I think) but its not daily! Handled by Air France, Terminal 2!

China Eastern are still operating 3 times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday I believe, I noted an example a couple of weeks ago. Current aircraft type used is A340-300 but sometimes it is a A340-600.

As for other airlines and flights I don't know all the facts but it has something to do with current bilateral agreements between the UK and China I believe.

James.

Thanks a lot Concorde

Concorde,
I might just hang around till then Big grin
I hope its an A346!!!!
Why have there been no photos of Chi. East. @ LHR recently then? Maybe its too dark when they arrive, but now it should be light enough...
The A346 photos are great from last year because the sun gave beautiful orange light. Hopefully the same light will be about today Big grin
Again, thanks for your help Concorde, and James.

Have any other carriers shown intrest in LGW or LHR?

Do China Southern have any plans to serve the UK?

Rob!

Thanks for the plug  Wink

I don't think Chins Southern will fly to LHR, because Guangzhou(where CZ is based at) is too close th Hong Kong...

Please excuse my poor English.
