A little late IMHO, but better late then never. Also, they need to work on a Spanish/English version. Otherwise, a nice/professional looking website!!

TAM Express does not operate their own fleet, but in together with their parent company TAM with a current fleet of 77 aircraft.

Some weeks ago I got my new KL-AF FF package (Platinum) and the information did not contain anything about TAM - as if TAM was not a partner of both KL and AF. However, with the new KL-AF Flying Blue card, FFs still can earn miles flying ANY TAM-operated flights, including CDG-GRU - this info is provided on the Flying Blue website.

Considering that TAM was not mentioned on the paper package, I assume its partnership with KL and/or AF is about to end in the coming months. Maybe a preclusion to TAM's entrance in OW?

JJ is studying to enter into an alliance but this is a very important step to be taken, specially because of the internal moment Brazilian aviation market is facing....

The actual moment is to look very close to the market after the end of the RG code-share on domestic flights, look very close the next RG "soap-opera".....this is important to me attempted because the decision to enter into an alliance may have a huge impact.

Not from the point of view of AF-KL Flying Blue FFs. As I said, AF-KL FFs can, for the time being, earn miles (award miles not level miles) on ANY TAM-operated flight. In addition, as you mentioned, JJ also codeshares some flights with AF and KL on some routes.

I found it very strange that JJ was removed from the new Flying Blue paper package...

This the information on TAM provided by Flying Blue website:

"Flying Blue members can earn Miles on all TAM-operated flights, including those operated by Líneas Aéreas Paraguayas." [this is different from the previous arrangement, which excluded GRU-CDG flights, etc].

If TAM waits...and waits...and waits...for an outcome of RG soap opera, it may be too late: GOL is just expanding...very soon GOL will have a bigger international market share than TAM...

I agree with you but this is something that the decison does not pass through my desk...if the decion would depend on me, it would be different. Specially the issu about GOL...I agree with you, please believe me.

Interesting. TAM does not allow FF Fidelidade (even Red) to earn miles on AF flights GRU-CDG. AF and JJ does not show code shares flights in their sites. I think probably they stop the partnership very very soon. The second JJ GRU-CDG flight may hurt AF (and shows to AF that its decision to bet on GIG is 100% right) but AF can introduce a new flight (assume Brazilian 21 flights per week and 14 from AF) (????) It can be a GIG-AMS-CDG flight as if JJ stop partnership with JJ , KLM will need to carry pax out of GRU with other airline (should be Gol ???) then GIG become a strong airport for a Sky Team hub (due to Gol operations there are larger than GRU).
