Delta Expands Service at Richmond, Va. by 25 Percent with New Flights to Florida

Low introductory fares invite customers to fly non-stop to Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater

RICHMOND, Va., May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines' (NYSE: DAL - News) customers planning business trips between Richmond, Va., and Florida soon will find it easy to jet straight to the Sunshine state.

- Beginning July 1, Delta will offer two additional daily non-stop
flights from Richmond International Airport to the key business and
vacation destinations of Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando.
- On July 15, Delta will offer two daily non-stop flights between
Virginia's capital and Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater.

With the new schedule, Delta will offer the only non-stop service between Richmond and these three Florida cities. All flights will be operated by Delta Connection carriers Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), Chautauqua Airlines and Comair using 50-seat Bombardier regional jet aircraft.

To celebrate the new service, Delta is offering customers special low introductory fares on these non-stop flights as low as $69* each way (based on roundtrip purchase) for travel between Richmond and Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater. Additional taxes/fees/restrictions apply. Fares are available only for purchase on delta.com or from a travel agent. Tickets must be purchased on or before June 3, 2005. "With our new schedule we have increased flights into and out of Richmond by more than 25 percent, which represents a continued investment by Delta in the city and its surrounding communities," said Doug Blissit, vice president- Network Planning.

With the expanded summer schedule, Delta and Delta Connection carriers ASA, Chautauqua and Comair will offer customers in the historic Richmond region 29 daily flights to six non-stop destinations - 10 to Delta's largest hub in Atlanta, six to Cincinnati, three to Ft. Lauderdale, three to New York LaGuardia Airport, five to Orlando, and two to Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater.

Great news. And to think...Richmond will now have five daily non-stops to South Florida; three to FLL and two to MIA. It was less than 18 months ago they had zero.
