Opinion On New Slc Airport

If anyone is at all familiar with the current airport layout of the SLC Int'l, which design do they favor most? The one planned to be finished by 2002, or the current? I favor the new airport as it will have 84 gates, a lot more than the current one. Which this will mean more openongs for more airlines to pull into SLC. What do you think?
