Lufthansa 747 At MAN This Morning

Hi

This morning at around 830 i saw a lufthansa B744 come in to land at MAN and i wondered why such a large aircraft on such a short trip. It took off about an hour later. Is this a scheduled flight?if so how come a 747!and if not, anyone have any opinions on it?!?!

This has been mentioned over in the Photography forum. It was D-ABVH which diverted en route LAX-FRA. Departed MAN around 10am.
