Hi a-netters,

I'm currently visiting London for a few days and am staying near to LHR. I was wondering if you experienced LHR spotters knew of a restaurant where I could take the wife and have a nice lunch while viewing arrivals and/or departures at LHR. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey I think it has got to be the The Green Man pub, right under approach for 27L and does excellent food too! Not too far from Hatton Cross tube station

I should be on commission, the number of times I've recommended our favourite pub.

Looks a great pub!

Can anyone recommend a hotel other than the Renaissance and Hilton for a good view over the airport (preferably runways)?

Rob!

The Jury's Inn seems quite well placed and it's a bit cheaper too.I haven't used it personally but I've heard it's very good.

I dare say you'll get some nice approach views if the winds are favourable for the 27 runways.
