Quoting Jaysit (Reply 7): Is there an advertizing blitzkrieg in Mumbai and/or London concerning this service?
Ads in the Papers/Hoardings Depicting the 9W A340 and talking about a contest to win a trip to the Airbus Factory in Tolouse.

did you also notice that the picture of the Airbus in the ad didnt have the VT-JWA regn. It had the old ZS-***
i found that a little careless on part of the advertisign team.

Great to see a new Indian airline in London. It was 56 years back that AI began its operations to London in June 1948. Good luck to Jet Airways and all it's employees.

An airplane might disappoint any pilot but it'll never surprise a good one.

I'm sure it was difficult for them to get a photo of the aircraft with the new registration in time to meet the deadline of putting together the adverising copy. Only geeks like us (= A.nuts) would notice this anyway. Go easy on them.
Question:
How many members of cockpit crew (i.e., "pilots") are on board 9Ws BOM-LHR flights ?
[On another thread it was suggested that AI have only two cockpit crew on this leg].

That is correct. Air India no longer staffs flights with a relief pilot with the exception of flights between Frankfurt and Los Angeles. This follows a relaxing of duty time rules by the DGCA and the de-recognition of the Indian Pilots Guild union by Air India in 2003.

All I can say is that is one GORGEOUS livery. Thank God one airline has the decency to keep cheatlines around a little bit longer. Wow. I love it.

Who else but A.Netters would care to look at the regn of the aircraft!
Most passengers look for safety service and price.
