Why charter service? Isn't DFW quiet an important route from MEX?

Anyway, good new from MX. Looks like they are really motivated into going to the next level!

Commavia: YOU are right about the service. So far thats whats plan for this season, but MEXICO(MEX) and GUADALAJARA(GDL) are in the plans for DFW, but since they are part of oneworld with AA, there is some discussion about those services. STAY TUNE when INFO comes available, I will try and post. cheers.

No, the scheduled service will be Morelia, as you mentioned, and Zacatecas, not Ixtapa.

Never thought it would be Morelia... What is the actual status of Morelia's international flights?

MLM International flights

None-stop
SJC-MLM - MX
SFO-MLM - MX
LAX-MLM -CO/MX
ORD-MLM - MX
IAH-MLM - CO

and now - none-stop
DFW-MLM - MX

Indeed, MLM is MX territory. I believe the airport handles regularly 757, A320, A319 and can handle wide bodies 763 etc.

Saludos

Fer

Its good for passengers flying to Mexico that MX and AM compete against each-other. I assume this fly will be an A318 operation.

A319's will be used, I believe. In practice, of course, there will be A318's and A320's flying these routes depending on demand.

I think I saw the schedules this morning in a news website (they are not available to me now) and I had the impression that the plane will stay a long, long time on the ground in DFW which seemed very unusual given the fact that MX is, according to some a.netter, a champion of Airbus narrowbody utilization. Perhaps someone can post the schedules to clarify. Thanks.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

Here are the schedules from MX site

176 MLM 5:00 AM DFW 7:20 AM
177 DFW 10:40 PM MLM 1:10 AM

178 ZCL 5:20 AM DFW 7:20 AM
179 DFW 10:49 PM ZCL 12:45 AM

The questions is where they route those flights 176 and 178 from DFW?
Charter flight?

Fer

MX will fly charters for FunJet Vacations during the day to various mexican resort cities. MX had two A319's at DFW today, the first day for the charters.

Thanks Fer and NikonDFW. It's cool to see that MX will be able to not only offer convenient schedules to ethnic travelers (its core market in this route) but will also keep the birds flying and making money.

Michoacan has 3.8% of the total immigrant population in Mexico, and also an important number of people from Michoacan are living in the USA, therefore the importance of routes to/from USA.

About DFW, MX already have CZM-DFW-CZM and CUN, the flight numbers are as charter flights, but the interesting thing here, that those flights are stablished like scheduled ones.

Cheers
