AZ's, I-DUPA MD-11C - Converted Into Freighter..

Here's the first pic of I-DUPA in a full Cargo config. The aircraft was withdrawn from service and converted into a freighter for Alitalia Cargo.

Does anyone know if AZ still has passenger configured MD11s? How many? Where do they fly to?

I guess they re-activated at least one a short while ago.

I-DUPA, I-DUPE, I-DUPI, I-DUPO and I-DUPU (all the vowels!) are those which are gonna be converted in freighters (temporarily parked in FCO and NAP). I-DUPB also has been converted to freighter but was sold to Lufthansa Cargo last year. I-DUPC and I-DUPD are the only two which still make pax flights...

Anyway, a similar thread was posted a few days ago, "Alitalia full freight service" if I'm not wrong...

As a matter of fact, the only 2 MD-11s still flying pax for Alitalia are the Combis I-DUPI and I-DUPU. -DUPE and -DUPO are parked at FCO and NAP as you correctly mentioned, while the 3 "consonants" (all pax) were returned to Boeing. All 3 now fly for Lufthansa Cargo.

Atlas Air contract to fly B747-200s on behalf of the Italian carrier is due to end this summer. Looks like just in time to be replaced by AZ's owns MD-11 freighters.

There are 2005 pictures of all four flying in the database. They were taken out of storage last year. Are they now all flying revenue pax services until they are converted to freighters?
