Among the impressive line up of arlines, as the remark on the picture states, there are 3 DL 767-300s parked in the background... anyone knows what the third plane was doing here? DL operates 2X daily service ATL-GRU and it struck me as awkward to see an extra plane. Any ideas what the reason might be? did one go tech and had to stay overnight for repairs or something?
Thanks for any replies,

Ship 194 arrived on a mtc on 05/12 resulting in the cancellation of DL104. It stayed in GRU being repaired until 05/14 and departed as DL122. DL never had 3 departures to ATL as they instead cancelled DL105 on 05/14 to balance equipment.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

My sources show that DL104 GRU-ATL on May 12 cancelled due to a hydarulics problem related to the flight controls. Ship 194 was the aircraft in question. The picture is showing the two flights from ATL that morning plus the cancelled flight from the night before.

Great picture. Would be too good if DL actually had 3 daily flights to GRU. What strikes me about the picture is that I don't see any jetways. Doesn't GRU have any, and if not, are there plans to install them?

GRU does have Jetways. That area of the picture is for Cargo/Parking only... maybe some repairs are done there as well. In some instances, which has happened to me on a JJ F-100 and a DL MD-11 back in 2000, the airport "runs out" of available Jetways and PAX have to be taken by Bus there.
