I am trying to find the absolute cheapest flight possible to get from PHX to CUN anytime from December 6-January 17. Me and my friends would like to take a weeks vacation and are having trouble finding cheap flights. We don't mind stopping once either. The cheapest I found was $450 and I was hoping to get something in the 300 range. Any help would be much appreciate for a poor college student trying to have some fun.

It might be difficult to get a fare that cheap. From what I've seen on HP, $400-500 is about the average fare. You might be able to get something slightly cheaper, but you'll have to look around. HP operates the only nonstop out of PHX so don't expect many discounts.

Try AM PHX-GDL-CUN. You might need to either choose other dates if you only want to stop once (GDL) or live with stopping in HMO en route to GDL. I have no idea what the fare will be like, but it is worth checking it out. In addition, AM has way better service than HP. Also. don't forget to check the Fare-Savers section in AM's website. You might find a good offer.

You might consider looking at wholesalers like Apple Vacations and other providers who bundle bulk airfare with hotel packages - sometimes it's a good savings rather than getting air and hotel separately.
