Mauritius will become Air India's 45th destination worldwide. This summer, Air India will operate a fleet of 3 Boeing 777-200ERs, 3 Boeing 737-800s, 16 Boeing 747s and 22 Airbus 310s.
I am fining it difficult to reconcile AI's summer operation with the capacity provision. Has it been a new air service agreement, allowing for new flights, already stroke? According to the Hong Kong's Airport website, AI will operate 19 flights per week out of Hong Kong. Many thanks in advance!!

Good to see AI re launching Mauritius with its own aircraft. Will these flights later get extended to South Africa and does AI have anymore new planed routes to other destinations in Africa.

Quoting Zizou (Reply 4): will be interesting to see how Air India compete with Air Mauritius on this route
Air India and Air Mauritius have had a joint operation (risk/revenue sharing) between Mauritius and India for almost 20 years now where they split their revenues in the market. That will remain intact for now. These services will supplement the Air Mauritius flights.
