how did you become a baggage handler? is there an age limit? would it be possible to get a summer job at dfw for a 17 year old male? i dont really care about flight benifits or pay. just minimum wage and being around airplanes all day would be good for me. Even in 100+degree temperatures  . i noticed last time i was at miami i saw very young men cleaning the tarmacs with those cleaning machine thingys. do they have this sort of job at dfw? would there be any job for me at dfw airport? how about love field?

they have a listings in the human resources dept of all the job listings.Check out american's web site for application procedures.I believe you have to wait 3 months before the flying previliges kicks in.They usally pay around 7.50 an hour(real slave wages)and they are not keen on hiring someone temporarily.

I got started about 4 yrs. ago. I've enjoyed it. As far as getting a summer job at DFW, you would probably have to go to the airlines that serve DFW and ask. Most carriers do have an 18 year old age limit, but you never know. Good luck.
